Sophie had a really good birthday today! Nathan went to preschool this morning so we spent to morning playing chase me, wrestling, playing with her kitchen, then napping. After we picked Nathan up, we went to Walmart to get birthday party supplies and while we were there we saw a bike trailer that was on super clearance. Brady wants a bike trailer for his birthday (which is this Friday) so we got it. Brady bought me a bike for my birthday because our goal this year to to have more fun as a family and to exercise more...two birds, one stone!
We got home and hitched the trailer to Brady's bike. Then took another nap and then made cupcakes! While the cupcakes cooled we went for a bike ride all the way up to Barro's for a pizza birthday dinner. We had a great dinner then rode back in the dark, which was way fun! In total we rode four miles, not too shabby!
I've missed having a bike and it really is so much fun to go on family bike rides. Yesterday we went on a two mile ride to the park and back. Nathan actually rode his bike the whole way yesterday! He was EXHAUSTED when we got home, it was a great way to channel his energy. He loves being outside and having fun as a family!!
